CoD Infinite Warfare Trailer
This looks like it would make a great movie, even with the whole everything-cgi-including-actors concept.

Programming for Dummies
Okay, I actually disagree with calling it "Programming for Dummies," but it is definitely beginner's programming. That's not a bad thing, but instead a very, very good thing. The method used for Scratch appears to be taking hold in ways I was hoping it would.
Meet the game Human Resource Machine.

It was created by the same folks that made World of Goo and Little Inferno, which I adore. It combines their own cartoon style with the Scratch-based method of visual code blocks to create an interesting puzzle game.

Tippy Toe, Nice and Slow
Chatting with a gamer buddy online the other night, I decided to compile my Christmas wish-list towards interactive, VR gaming:
Step 1: Of course, the Oculus Rift
Step 2: Virtuix Omni
Step 3: Sixense 5-Tracker Stem System
Considering my nephews got bored with the Xbox 360 Kinect in a matter of days, I wonder how long it would take them to get bored with this kind of set up. At least roller skating, all-day bowling, and Six Flags season passes are still cheaper than all the above combined.

Synonymy
Coincidentally, I received an email for a Groupees game bundle that includes Synonymy, a word game that has been narrated by Richard Dawkins.
I only have a couple more tracks to listen to of The Greatest Show on Earth, and today The God Delusion book gets turned back in to go to someone else that has it on hold. I'm not finished listening to it yet, so I've placed another hold on it, and I'm 3rd in line to check it out again. Of course, I could always open my own copy of the book sitting on my bookshelf, but that would mean not working on my knitted afghan while reading, and I already have 3 other books I'm reading through otherwise.

Mad about Games
The Mad Max game play looks like it takes its playbook from the Batman Arkahm series. I am annoyed that there were original plans to include a PS3 and XBox 360 version, but those have been scrapped. Understandable, not backtracking on console versions, but it does mean I'm unlikely to come across this game any time soon.
Doctor Who - The Adventure Games
FFS, they couldn't have picked a more annoying movement process if they tried.
Also, it pains me to hear that we just went back in time prior to the arrival of [a gadget], and the Doctor's comment regarding a console in the room is, "That was the console that used to control...." Shouldn't he say, "That is the console that will be used to control...." instead?

I'm done for
I went looking for an online site for playing nonograms during my lunch hour at work.
SO MANY PUZZLE GAMES
I'm not an addict. I can quit anytime. Like, at the end of my slightly extended lunch hour... Also, I'm late for work, and I wonder why.

Cookies
I'm playing Contrast and wondering why there isn't an achievement for locating the circa-1960's Blue Police Box....
I've uploaded a screenshot to Steam - proof that it happened. :)
There's also what appears to be pink soap with the name "Jack" carved into it, reminding me of Fight Club, which led me to this image that I now want turned into a window cling that I can attach to the bathroom mirror.

To The Moon
I started up playing To The Moon this evening. I've already been playing for over 5hrs and I just finished Act 1 out of 4 Acts. (Granted, I'm a VERY slow game player that likes to look at everything and check out all the nooks and crannies of everywhere. Someone else could have finished the game twice over by now.)
( Spoilers Here )
The game is amazingly simple, yet amazingly poignant in it's messages (there are many). So far, with having only played 1/4th of the game, I still highly recommend it.
I'm considering buying the soundtrack to it.
While it would be a good one to play as we approach Valentine's, there was a great quote in the game (which I'm sure came from someone, but I've had too much alcohol this evening to care at the moment about looking it up):
"I'm not yours; You're not mine. Be my anti-Valentine."
I love it.

Car Mechanic
I've always wanted to learn about car mechanics, but that seems like such an undertaking when I have pretty much zero knowledge of auto mechanics as it is and ten gazillion other interests and projects and things going on already. (Granted, I know more than those completely mechanically-illiterate people, but I still feel like I'm only "reading" at a 2nd grade level.)
So, I have to say, this Car Mechanic Simulator game really intrigues me. I wonder exactly how much knowledge I could glean from a game like that.
LOL - Just by watching the trailer video, I've already learned my first lesson! Near the beginning there's a Tutorial pop-up that goes by too quickly, so out of curiosity I paused the video to read it. Step 1: Turn on the Radio.
Hell, even I can do that!
Seems like I'm all set for running my own chop-shop, er, I mean, mechanic's shop come this time next week.

Tredoku
This is something different. I'm assuming that by the nature of the designs, a big box "hanging out there" can become a part of a row but not a column, or vice versa. That's the only way I can see it working.
It seems that's exactly the case in the example given at 54sec in the video below, based on the position of the 9's on the board. If I'm "reading" that example correctly, it has 3 big columns (containing 2 or more big boxes), 2 big rows, and 3 "hanger" or "loner" boxes that contribute to either a big row or a big column, but not both.
Also, I love their website flash design. I was thinking of doing something like that for my company website, although admittedly not with such fancy graphics and sound effects.

Sudoku
I've been going insane OCDing on trying to solve a single Sudoku puzzle that's in one of my nightstand books.
I also have the Mensa Guide to Solving Sudoku that I've been working through ridiculously slowly while finding out what "master secrets" I haven't already figured out on my own.
Getting stuck on this one particular puzzle increased my want to work through and learn the techniques in the Mensa book. It's more slow going than I prefer, and I hadn't been able to crack my Problem Puzzle, so I finally decided to cheat.
I found a really GREAT online sudoku solver which can go step-by-step through solving a puzzle. I typed in the puzzle and ran the Unique Check on it, and according to this solver, my Problem Puzzle has 19 solutions, which would explain my getting stuck trying to solve it.
At least now I don't feel so much like an idiot restarting it repeatedly and assuming I kept making an error somewhere.

Steam Value
"Your account has been verified, with 515 games, valued at $5,650.95."
Interesting. Especially since Steam actually has 647 games listed under my account right now. I wonder if it doesn't include DLCs or something.
