For some reason my brain thought again about the password rule used by delicious.com

If the password is supposed to increase in difficulty so as to prevent hackers, then you sure as hell shouldn't limit the letters and numbers that can be used in it. Given that combinations are exponential in growth, the reverse holds just as true. For every character you leave out of a potential password, you decrease that password's ability to not be hacked.

If you are hacker and know this is a rule being used, it would be that much more tempting to try and exploit it.

I'm trying to figure out how old my nephew should be before I complete the corruption of his soul and officially turn him into a gamer.

I downloaded Age of Japan II, a really nice version of Bejeweled, complete with story board comics, a traveling salesman, wonderful music that I honestly want to get a hold of and listen to while studying/working, beautiful graphics and "jewel" icons, calming Zen designs including how it warns you that time is waning and that you've subsequently lost, and additional specialty jewels that really know how to fuck you over.

Me: This game is so wonderful. I mean, look at it. It's pretty, the music is awesome, [continued praise here]. The only problem is that this game is full of dickery. ... See, there it goes adding another dick piece to the game.
Tom: Hickory Dickery
Me: Yep, Hickory Dickery. That just makes it tasty dickery.

And what a great story as well. I'll be damned if I want a bunny now.

From Douglas Coupland's Life After God:

Time, Baby -- so much, so much time left until the end of my life -- sometimes I go crazy at how slowly time passes yet how quickly my body ages.
But I shouldn't allow myself to think like this. I have to remind myself that time only frightens me when I think of having to spend it alone. Sometimes I scare myself with how many of my thoughts revolve around making me feel better about sleeping alone in a room.
