Tricky Bastards
Jul. 13th, 2008 03:16 pmThere is a Pandora app for the iPhone. This should be great news for someone with an iPhone (*eyes
toxico and
solitaire). However, click the link for "Download Pandora from the App Store Now" - go ahead, I'll wait.
Did it work? Well, congrats! That means you have iTunes installed. For the rest of us though, no iTunes on computer = no access. :-/
However, I'm still in gadget heaven:
iPod digital recorder adapter
There's a couple of vinyl-to-digital gadgets out there (ion's latest includes an iPod dock, but still no plastic cover for the apparatus, go figure), and a few options for VHS-to-digital. There's even a casette-to-digital I found, which has a disk docking option for your cpu case. I would totally be into the docking option, except they can't answer yes to the number one question I ask most often of anything that has electricity flowing through it: "Does it come in BLACK??" Hell, I'd even go for a gray-toned version, but not awful blue on white. However, the point to this long paragraph is to mention that ion now has a dedicated VHS-to-digital gadget that I would be most tempted to buy to convert my parents' ungodly number of VHS tapes. I like the fact that it bypasses the tv and goes straight to computer, unlike dual VHS/DVD-r combos, although it's still about the same cost as Sony's DVDirect - oh wait, there's an $80 Sony in that list. Nifty.
BTW, is anyone interested in purchasing their very own ultrasound?

And no, that 5.25" cassette deck only comes as shown. So, no black. It's been around for a good while now.
