I had been waiting a while for this game, and the Best Buy email just reminded me that I want to buy it and pet it and love it and call it George. But, alas, I must wait.

Found Dead
Sep. 30th, 2008 03:21 pmI did a search for UTA Shorthorn (the UTA school newspaper) and noticed a link labeled "found dead" under the primary link. The strangeness of the link caught my attention.
I clicked and read the article about a student who was found dead in her apartment. I will never understand why reporters always have to leave out information. It makes the comments from the other students seem completely and totally irrational simply because the article doesn't say how she died.
Apparently the apartment complex is now unsafe given the comments quoted in the article without any reason given as to why the other students would think that. There's a hint that it might have something to do with the gas lines, but even that seems like a stretch.
Maybe they are worried that the apartments will now be haunted.

PSA - Free Shows/Movies
Sep. 30th, 2008 03:48 pmYou can find a lot of whole episodes for shows and whole movies as part of their IMDB files, like Heroes season 3 and almost all of Twin Peaks seasons 1 and 2. Just go to their IMDB page, click on "more" Seasons, and then click on the embedded episode image.
I watched last night's episode of Heroes this way just a little while ago. The plus is that you get to watch the whole episode in case you missed it, like I did. The negative is that there might still be at least one unskipable commercial at each designated commercial break. In the case of Heroes 3.3, it was one 15 second Nissan commercial. The same commercial. Over and over and over again. At least it was only 15 seconds though.
You can also find a lot of episodes directly from their host station's web site, like Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles.
