Random Ramblings
Apr. 20th, 2006 10:45 amI'm gradually catching up on a week's worth of LJ, so you may see comments on slightly old posts.
Yesterday I found out that my credit score is apparently really, really good. Now, the guy I talked to doesn't know my income-to-debt ratio, but he was saying that with my score and knowing that I would have roommates, then I could just about write in the amount that I want to borrow. I get the feeling that this is his way of getting me in the door, but he said over the phone that writing up a pre-approval letter shouldn't be a problem. Decisions, decisions.
One of my school loans just went back into repayment. I mailed one check and then received a notice that the company has changed and that I should NOT send payments to the old company. The check has cleared the bank, but the new company doesn't have record of me making a payment. Time to talk to some folks.
Yeah for health/dental/eye insurance. Time to replace the sunglasses I lost during moving. I wonder if the insurance would cover Lasik any? Although, Lasik still doesn't take the place of polarized sunglasses.
The McDonald's by work has really fast service, so fast in fact that the chick practically yelled at me this morning after giving me my change because I didn't pull up to the second window fast enough. Sorry, but I like the idea of putting away my change while the car is NOT moving.
corzican and I wanted to go swimming two days ago, but the pool was locked. The second pool was open and full of people playing water volleyball and a large number of kids. We weren't in too social a mood so we chose to forego swimming for another day. That's terribly frustrating. I called the office and they said that the city is supposed to inspect the pools before they open for the summer. Now both pools are locked until that happens.
I like the Google page today. It has art work by Joan Miro. Neat.
I thought of a movie to rent last night while watching the thunderstorm roll in. I'm trying to remember which movie it was, but this morning the brain really isn't working properly. I'm beginning to think that I dreamed up a movie idea.
I don't think any new abode feels completely right until you've called the place home during a thunderstorm. That's also when you realize how loudly those chunk of raindrops can hit your window when you're trying to go to sleep.
Season 2 of The Secret Life Of Us is complete. On to season 3.
I started playing Silent Hill 3 this week, just in time for the movie. Can't wait to see it.
YMCA = Hell to a hellion
I wish I could be making about twice what I am now.
There's a lot more in my brain, but I think I've taken up enough of your friends page. :)
