I'm researching a new domain name for my professional organizing company, and some of the pages I'm finding are ... interesting, to say the least. The suggestion of "anticlutter" led me to this random page.

Interesting artwork on this page.

Really?

I have gone 20 years without locking my keys in my car, and I'll be damned if I haven't done it twice in two days.

I don't mind cat sitting, but driving back and fourth between Haltom City and Irving, along with everything else going on, is starting to wear on me. Just a couple more days and then I can be back home and re-settled. I'm looking forward to a full night sleep again, as the kitties otherwise refuse to let me have that right now.

I finally got a new guy trained for the office, although I'm still short in the office for a couple more days. Still working on getting a new tech trained and out of my hair. We don't have a service manager, and neither of my team leads ever train new techs anymore, so it falls on me to get them up and running. My desk is swamped in paperwork, which the cleaning crew keeps stacking up over the weekend. *glares*

"Wild Asphalt Circus" sounded like something really interesting when I saw it on a billboard.

Nope.

It's just an ad for the Texas Motor Speedway.

Now, I'm brainstorming what MY idea of a wild asphalt circus might be.

Apparently, I got some sage social advice from Nathan Fillion in a dream last night.

O_O

No, you don't get to know what it was.

The SUV in front of me while I was getting lunch today had an, "I brought id to Dallas" sticker on his back windshield along with a couple of other gaming stickers.

id Software is located in the building directly behind my class.

Also, the older I get, the further down I have to scroll on "Enter Your Date of Birth" entries.

Speaking of class, it's raining out today. I'm going to try to leave work at 4pm instead of 4:30pm and hope I don't run into 5 traffic accidents between here and there (which is actually more probable than NOT running into that many accidents).

I finally got around to putting together this puzzle a couple weeks ago. She took me a couple of days, but was easier than I expected once I started picking up the patterns on the wallpaper in the image. I waited until today to take her apart so that a friend could see her.

Luciano. Kitty took me ~8hrs to complete today without the help of the image. The same friend was amazed that I was able to put it together in less than a day. Now to go take it apart so I have a clear card table again, at least until I clear off my bed of all the stuff I put on it.

Premature?

I'm voting now. The next Two Lumps title needs to be Meatcakes.

Not to be confused with btchcakes.

I finally looked up this Jersey Shore thing so I could figure out what everyone else was talking about. The only thing I previously knew was that it was a reality-based TV show.

Oh. God. I. Cannot. Unsee. That.

I finally got a damn good night sleep. I awoke to rolling thunder, despite still not seeing a drop here at home.

I awoke from a nightmare of my father having a massive, painful heart attack in my arms.

I've never had a dream-within-a-dream experience, but last night I had a movie-within-a-dream. I was actually drawn into the TV and became like a character in the movie, which involved a werewolf hunting a town of semi-Amish-like folk. After some time, I pulled back out of the TV as though waking from a day dream, and I was still in the original dream bed and room. A bit after that I woke up for real.

Everything about that dream was just odd.

There was even an old American Flag, only the one in my dream had the full circle of stars, and read 1816 inside.

I managed to get moody yesterday afternoon with certain thoughts running around in my head that didn't belong. The heat and still shorted amounts of sleep haven't been helping. I took a quick nap when I got home, and upon waking up figured my mood couldn't get any worse, but it could possibly get better by going out, so I headed out to Wednesday night shenanigans. I failed to eat dinner, thinking my large lunch would be able to carry me, and then I stayed 2 hours past when I should have left. I did manage a glass or two of water before leaving, but the damage was already done. This morning I wasn't able to keep liquids down, but I finally started feeling human after a bowl of cereal. Off to shower and grab a little more food on the way in to work.

This evening is a relaxing evening planned watching a movie with friends. I don't look forward to the drive, but I do look forward to the relaxing and movie. Or not. Meh.

I think in the future if I'm feeling that moody, I might be better off staying put.

Movie night with the nephews still takes place here and there. Saturday night I showed them The Towering Inferno, and much to my happiness they really enjoyed it, except for the kissy scenes. While at the grocery store today, I came across Jason and the Argonauts. I had been looking around for that one for a while now. They are going to LOVE it. I cannot recall if I've shown them Jack the Giant Killer or not. I'd like to be sure they see the original before coming across the remake, just as I did with Clash of the Titans. We're still making our way through the original Battlestar Galactica series, although we didn't watch any episodes of it Saturday. This was fortuitous, because I had forgotten The Towering Inferno was 3 hours long.

The Paulo Romero jigsaw puzzle is complete. This is the first time I've ever come across this, but I have two extra side-by-side pieces and I'm short two other side-by-side pieces. I'm also missing one other piece, but I have a feeling that one disappeared during times that cats where insistent on laying on the table and in the puzzle boxes. I'm willing to bet it will show up one of these days.

Tonight, I have tasty leftover pineapple salmon with a sweet plum sauce, a nice Riesling, some Mozart, and more than a few books to read. I've had my dinner, downed the drink, it's 8pm, and sadly I think I'll be lucky to keep my eyes open for 30min while reading before I just past out.

Going back and fourth between two versions of Firefox means I sometimes forget that the Go button in the old version is not the Reload button in the new version.

Click, Click, Click - Why won't you reload the screen? I know I made changes.

Click - - :-/ - Click - - oh, yeah, it's back over there.

Click - page reloads.

*grumble*

[Yes, I know, I could update Firefox on the computer. I just haven't.]

Dear Brain,
You know that whole sleep thing? Not only do I want it, I NEED it as well. This is the beginning of week two with you causing much strife.
Cut that shit out.
Me.

Dear Body,
You know what you're doing and not doing properly.
Cut that shit out.
Me.

Dear Soul,
I keep telling you that you don't exist, but according to some religious nutbags, just the act of me talking to you suggests that I have subconsciously proven that you do exist.
Cut that shit out.
Me...er...you...uh...fuck, it's too early in the morning for this.
