I'm taking antibiotics and Tramadol after having a procedure yesterday to lance and drain an abscess in my armpit.
I only got about 3-4 hours of sleep the night before, due to sinusitis draining, armpit pain, and general anxiousness about the appointment.
So, I was pretty tired when I got home after work. I took my pills along with my trusty Benadryl and knocked off a little after 9pm.
Then, I woke up completely wide awake at 1am, and I decided to take advantage of the jolt of umph and have been working on posting a few months worth of receipts and bills into my tracking system.
It's now 5am, and I'm yawning. I'm debating if I should take another Tramadol and/or attempt going to sleep again. One of two things will happen. Either I'll sleep until noon or I'll sleep for a short while and be hit with another round of energy.
Both drowsiness and insomnia are potential side effects for Tramadol, and I seem to be hitting the insomnia side of the coin, similar to how I get high from a standard dose of DXM.
