My B-Day Weekend

I really had a busy weekend, and I was able to see a lot of people. That made me happy.
Thursday B-DAY - Got a cake fit for a clown with brightly-colored icing poof balls and a sparkly, smiley face, french fries b-day card (don't ask for I shall not traumatize any one else) at work. Went to Humperdinks for dinner. Saw Superman Returns in 3-D at the IMAX. Thoroughly enjoyed playing "find the references to the orginal Superman movie". I think I was jumping up and down in my seat for the whole movie. What can I say, I was a superman fan growing up. Spacey rocks, and the new superman's voice was dead on. I wanted to slap Lois.
Friday - Ahhhhh. Sleep in. Lunch at Outback Steakhouse. Home to relax and get ready for an evening at Minc Lunge. Unfortunately, a lovely migraine decided to play with me, so I had to bail out of the evening.
Saturday - I take my last migrain pill. Let it be known that I am not a pill junkie. This was the first migraine I have had in the past 1.5-2 years. An hour later it's finally gone and I was able to resume my plans. Went to a friend's to play Call of Cthulhu, Quiddler, and something called "how much alcohol can I consume without throwing up". I managed to win at the last game. We were planning on playing the WoW board game, but the Call was too great.
Sunday - More sleeping in. Made my way back home in time to grab the dvd player and head over to watch 5 episodes of The Secret Life of Us and eat home-cooked popcorn with really good seasonings. (show note: we finally saw the wedding episode, and wow, uh, surprise!) Then back home to watch 15 minutes of Silent Hill 4 playing. Then off to have a drink and Devil Wears Prada. AVIOD THE DEVIL. Yeah, it sucked. But I had good company.
Now back at work and so far...good.
