Counting Sheep
Nothing like waking up at 2:30am thinking about a programming issue that HASN'T EVEN COME UP YET (it's an issue with overwriting a lookup/calculated field in a data entry form that I haven't started creating yet), only to find the answer to the issue and hopefully be ready to fall back asleep by 3:30-ish (give or take some blog entry writing time).
On one hand, I hate waking up in the middle of the night thinking about things like this, but on the other hand, finding a solution quickly does help ease the mind a bit.
Triple bonus sheep points for figuring out a solution to a problem of which I only subconsciously was aware.
Negative 5 sheep for my nose deciding this hour of time awake is the perfect time to have an allergy attack.
Plus 2 sheep for getting to listen to the thunderstorm outside.
I think I'm slightly ahead, but my nose will be the deciding factor once I lay my head back down on the pillow.
