While waiting a bit for the DVR to get far enough ahead that we could fast forward through the commercials, I was debating which older episode to watch to pass the time. I really wanted to watch The Girl in the Fireplace, because it still remains my all-time favorite episode of the series, but opted to watch The Snowmen instead out of sheer love of Madame Vastra's one-word test scene. Oh, man, I totally picked the wrong episode as a lead-in for this first episode of the season.
Also, it's been driving me NUTS who was it that gave Clara the IT help desk phone number ever since the Doctor first asked her about it. I think someone responded to my query that it must have been her giving it to herself while traveling back along the time stream, but I didn't really buy that as an answer. I'm SOOOOO glad it was finally brought to attention in the series.
I'm still curious about Clara's "previous visit" to the Black Archive. I'm just going to giggle once they finally revisit that one.
