I've grown to loathe sleet and snow days, because no matter what, I still have to go in to work. On top of that, working for a plumbing company means we tend to have a lot of extra work come our way when people start calling in with freezing pipes.
My co-worker that was in the hospital all last week had a flare up yesterday, so I was in the office most of the day by myself again, which also meant getting absolutely nothing accomplished of my own work. She has a doctor's appointment today, so at least I'll get her for a little bit of the day. I really wish she had told me last night that she could open the shop instead of texting me at 5:30 this morning. I didn't get much sleep with the extra two hours I had, unfortunately.
I'm really not looking forward to the next 48 hours. I am glad I live in a place where our snow days are few and far between, though. I don't think I could handle 3+ months of steady snow. Give me 110-degree summers over non-stop snow any time. Yeah, I'll still complain about the heat, but I can at least handle it better long term.
