The agent agrees that the house with the just-lowered price is awesome, and I definitely need to see it ASAP. We are going to go see it plus 2 others in that area tomorrow (which is unfortunate as I now know one day can make quite a difference, so I'd much prefer to go this evening, as would she, but she's already booked).
Putting in an offer is my written agreement that if they say yes to the offer then at that point I'm under contract to purchase the home. I can still keep looking to my heart's content, though. I would have to withdrawal the other offer before putting in a new offer on another house to avoid a potential legal issue. It can be done (more than one offer floating out there at once), but if two of my offers are accepted before I can withdrawal one of them, they both become legally binding contracts that I will purchase both homes (hence the term "under contract"). That would be fine if I were in the real estate business and was putting out offers right and left, but as a person looking for my primary home - no - this would equal very, very bad things.
