"It was so unorganised, our evacuation drill was scheduled for 17:00 (16:00 GMT)," Melissa Goduti, 28, from the US told AP. "We had joked what if something had happened today."
Yeeg. When we went on the cruise they had the drill literally first thing as the ship was pulling out of port, presumably for this reason. Although if it had happened the first night at dinner and caused a blackout like they were saying, I'm sure it would have been just as chaotic, since the drill basically showed you how to get to your lifeboat efficiently from your cabin, not the dining hall. Trying to parse a new path in the dark, sideways, while navigating a screaming mob would be challenging for anyone. :( I'm glad to hear so many are safe and accounted for.
