Stomach Update

trickykittySo, it's been two weeks now. The doctor's nurse actually stopped my antibiotic instead of the other medication I posted about recently, so I started the other one back up on her orders. Sure enough, stopping the antibiotic plus some over-the-counter meds for the symptoms managed to get my body back in check within just a couple of days. It was still a bit painful during that time, but I grinned and beared it and all is better now.

Thanks to everyone who provided advice. I'll definitely keep it in mind in case something like this ever comes up again. Kitan won the "guess what's wrong with Nikki" lottery, it would appear. The antibiotics apparently did their job so well they also killed off the helpful stomach bugs that I need for proper digestion. I'm not complaining, as that was the easiest and least troublesome diagnosis I could have had. My heart goes out to anyone who's diagnosis has been more of the life-changing variation. I now have at least an inkling of what you have to deal with on a regular basis.
