I put in my notice at work today. It's an indefinite notice so that they can start looking for a replacement for me to train. How long I stay here will depend on the new job that I end up taking, but I really must be starting a new job by March 1. I prefer much sooner, because this job just isn't working out for me. I am so miserable here. The schedule doesn't work with my school schedule and I leave here every day completely exhausted. I will be so happy to leave for the second time.

Sounds like how I would feel after I got off of my job back in college working in a service deli for Albertson's. Every day I'd come home filthy, tired, and in no mood to study. Any idea of what you want to do next?

I don't mind anything that will kepp me relatively busy, but I deffinately don't need something that comes with so much stress. I'm looking through the school paper at jobs, since they already have a good idea that they are advertising to students and my school schedule won't come as a complete shock. There's some odd stuff in there. I can always do bookkeeping/accounting/receptionist/data entry/cash handling work, but I'd really like to do something different. I'm interviewing today for a teller position, but not sure how much they'll pay me yet. And there's a barista, a person who reads flood maps, a bartender at Grand Prarie Country Club, and Heyna's Comedy Club is hiring, but I doubt Heyna's would pay enough. Tips might be good, but I think I could make better tips working someplace like a nice resturaunt. I thought about going to Simply Fondue and seeing if they have any openings.

Hyena's?

Isn't that the place in Fort Worth with the burlesque show after the standup ends?

And I think there is, or at least used to be, another one in Arlington somewhere, maybe closer to 360. But I think Hyena's would just pay the minimum waitress rate and I'd be depending on tips. I wouldn't mind learning a bartending somewhere, but I'm keeping all of my options open at the moment.
