Lots to Fear

Why aren't fear and ignorance, especially the two combined, not considered deadly sins?

Because without fear and ignorance, the Seven Deadly Sins can't be used as "do as I say, not as I do" examples?

Also, the people who came up with the idea of the seven deadly sins generally liked it when people were fearful and ignorant, as it made them easier to manipulate.

Much about dogma surrounding organized religion is really about means of controlling people.

Fear of God is a very powerful thing to keep control of people, and they definately do not want people to question other things.
