I hate not being able to make up my mind.
I'm looking at salt and pepper mills, and trying to buy a set is killing my brain.
I'd actually be fine with an acrylic set, but I can't seem to find a black salt mill in acrylic. OK. So I look at the wooden mills. And now I'm torn between a full black set or an ebony pepper mill and a light maple salt mill to easily identify the two, and in many cases there's only the maple salt mill and no ebony option anyway. Then there's the style. I like little, easy to handle things, but I also like fancy tall, sleek and pretty things.
I know....my life is really this hard that I'm agonizing over a salt and pepper mill set.
So here's what I've narrowed it down to. What do you think, because my brain can't seem to think about it any more?
These top two acrylic sets are what started it all, but notice that they are salt SHAKERS and not MILLS. I wouldn't exactly be against purchasing one of these sets and then just adding a separate salt mill, but I'd prefer to have a matching mill set.
6.5" Black Tie and [size unknown] La Mirada sets

6" Salem (ebony pepper, ebony salt, maple salt)

8" Windsor (ebony pepper, maple salt)

10" Imperial (ebony pepper, maple salt)

10.5" Estate Wine Bottle (ebony pepper)

There's also an 18" regular mill and a 14.5" wine bottle mill, but I'm most likely to go for either the 6" or 8" and nothing bigger.
Oooooh, wooden sets:
6" and 10" ebony, and a 10" maple mill duo, but not a mill duo in black - only mill and shaker. I really wish they had an 8" set and then I'd just complete it with an 8" maple salt mill. *Le Sigh*

$250 for a freaking hand painted pepper mill!!

BTW, I think this whopping 24" walnut pepper mill doubles as a deadly weapon.
