The ankle bandage

SurePress High Compression Bandage
Aside from it being "high-compression" I'm really not sure how it's supposed to help with the swelling side of things.
EDIT: This gives a good description on how the indicators on the bandage work.
EDIT2: I'm learning more and more by the minute. The bandage works to increase the venous pump in my leg which is supposed to be sending excess fibr...(see previous post) back into the blood stream and out of my foot.
Hence why not only is my leg wrapped all the way to my knee, as per doctor's orders, but I have truly become the office manager that props her legs on her desk. I need a pic of me in my cubicle.
