The commune line is a hard line.
If you send a text message and the answering machine picks up, I haven't given it the AI IQ yet required for it to know to press 1 and save your message.
Likewise, our human brains may not quite keep up with the digital translation of your text message, nor can we guarantee that your message won't somehow be lost in translation
It's still your choice to send a text-to-land-line message, but I don't recommend it. Try someone's cell phone.
Also, unless you know we're partying late in the evening or you are having issues that really do require a late night friendly voice, please don't call/text after 10pm. We're getting to where almost at least one of us, if not a few, have to be up at the ass crack before dawn, and unfortunately it's too much trouble to turn the ringer off every night. Besides, if we turn it off then we won't hear it ringing for truly important late-night calls, and that would just suck, because we're always here for our friends/family.
God damn, we're getting to be old folks.
I thought becoming an adult meant getting to stay up as long as you wanted into the night.
"Get off my phone line!!!!" **waves cordless in a menacing fashion at the base and answering machine**
Shit, this is depressing.

Date: 2009-01-08 01:15 pm (UTC)You DO stay up as long as you want! Just when responsibility kicks in, you dont want to stay up late, you want a coffee maker that has a auto brew feature so you can set it up the night before and crash....
I get aggravated by calls after 9! LMAO
