My annoying GP has had me doing a daily walk around the block for exercise, and lately I've been pushing it out a bit with no problems. Initially I'd do one lap around the block and stumble back in at the end near death. Lately I've been going up to the shops and back again... I still stumble in near death at the end, but it's an improvement :)
I wish we had that luxury. We have to drive everywhere here. There's no such thing as "walking up the street to the shops." Not unless you go to some historical Main Street district of one of the older towns in the area, but you still have to drive there just to get the the area.
