So, I'm the awesome Aunt Nikki that has awesome nephews I get to play with. I get so much more fun out of sitting with them with their collection of toy cars than if I were sitting with a bunch of nieces with Barbie dolls (yick).

Last night, I decided to spend my Christmas work bonus on Christmas gifts for them. The two eldest are getting a whopping 6 gifts each, and youngest is getting 4. It was interesting roaming the aisles of Toys-R-Us last night, followed by wrap, wrap, wrap, wrap while listening to the roommates play Persona 4. The oldest two boys will be blowing through gifts when I arrive, then sister and youngest arrives to open more gifts, then off they zoom to head to someone else's house for gifts, which means I still get to come home and spend Christmas evening with roommates and friends.

Speaking of roommates and friends, I decided to do a bulk present for everyone this year, since my stress level has prevented me from really shopping for individuals. I ordered 3 Wine Country Gift Baskets which are now open and strewn about on our dining table. It's a free-for-all for anyone that comes over to visit and hang out.

Saturday, we've made plans to take the TRE/DART trains to Fair Park. First up is lunch at the Texas Discovery Gardens with butterflies, and scorpions, and tarantulas - oh my! Then dinner at the Old Mill Inn Restaurant, followed by the Chinese Lanterns that evening with my coworker's family joining us.

Mom's trying to talk me into going to Six Flags Holiday in the Park with them all on Sunday. I might have to take them up on the offer.

Next week - I'm on vacation from work - YIPEE!
(Of course, I'll still have to put in a few hours processing invoices, and having my phone handy for phone calls. Bleh.)
