The other grandparents of my youngest nephew are filing for full custody of him. My parents currently have joint custodial guardianship with my sister over the two eldest boys, but that's completely different from full custody.
Their lawyer was talking about scheduling a time for my sister to have supervised visitation. Their lawyer has not done her homework and has been misinformed on the current status of my sister. The next court date is set for December, and my mom and sister will be meeting with my sister's lawyer tomorrow for the first time (as my sister was only given a few days' notice of this first hearing). My sister was wanting to take her child home with her today after the court hearing, but they were requiring her to take a drug test immediately, to which she refused on premise (and spite, I'm sure). They're going to wait until tomorrow after meeting with her own attorney and following that advice.
I really hope this doesn't get ugly.
