I took today off from work to catch up on sleep and do some piddling stuff in my room that needed to be done. Class is tonight, but all around, I'm enjoying the lazy day. I should be able to get my card table cleared off by this evening and get my checkbook caught back up. Then I'll probably play a game of some sort.

Tomorrow is a day planned with my family. Mom, my sister, and I will be taking the two eldest nephews to ride the Tarantula* in Grapevine, a refurbished vintage passenger train that goes back and fourth between Grapevine and downtown Fort Worth (for those of you not from around here). I was looking online and found that Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show is going on tomorrow as well, which only happens about once a month as is. Mom had originally planned the train ride be today, since the boys are out of school. When I saw that the Wild West Show was schedule for Saturday, and I calculated that I'd still have to be skedaddling right afterwards to get to class tonight, I convinced her that making it a Saturday adventure would be best. So, one-way trip into the Stockyards, followed by the Wild West Show, then let the boys run around in the Cowtown Cattlepen Maze. We should be able to make it to watch the cattle drive**. At some point my dad will get off work (he works in downtown) and will join us for steak dinner and other general window shopping in the Stockyards. Dad'll be our ride home, and then mom and dad will go pick up the car from Grapevine while my sister and I settle in with the boys for a movie night and either popcorn or ice cream, or both. I already promised them we could watch American Ninja next time I'm over, although I also have a pirate movie collection which stars Long John Silver. I guess we'll see what they opt for.

Sunday's completely free, as the boys will be spending Easter with their other grandparents. I'll have plenty of time to either do some work in the yard or work on the bar some more. I plan to do at least one of those Sunday and stop being so lazy.

* Apparently, there's an eHow article on How To Ride The Tarantula Train in Grapevine. That's funny.

** This is what happens when you are a native DFWian - you get roped in to the history of the place, but I have to say, it's still very entertaining and historical and all around good knowledge for kids to be exposed to. Cultural events are always nice, but local cultural events are many times overlooked.

Copy/Paste this: Every sentence sounds really sexy in my voice. Ooh, yeah.

Into this: http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php

And select Rich's English voice.

Enjoy.

EDIT: You just want to hear me say the word sexy, don't you.
