If you lose it in Vegas - it stays in Vegas.

This is not only true of your money, but also, apparently, of your driver's license. If you lose your ID in Vegas, you might have to stay in Vegas, because they won't let you board the plane to leave Vegas without it.

Why do I mention this?

Because after two days in a criminal court case and ~5hours at work trying to finish up month-end processing, I get a phone call from my sister.

Mom has lost her driver's license and their check-out from the hotel is at noon tomorrow. Guess who gets to drive over, gather pertinent documents from the house and make sure they are faxed to the hotel first thing in the morning (before our butt-crack at dawn weekly meeting)?

If you guessed my sister, that would be wrong.

They still haven't told me when I'm supposed to be there to pick them up from the airport.

Of course, mom only asked in passing as I was leaving the Thanks-eve family dinner, "So, you're going to be able to take us on Sunday, right?" I had no clue what she was talking about. That's because that was her way of asking me, "Dad and I are planning another Vegas vacation and we need a ride at 5am to the airport on Sunday, could you do it?"

I'm sure I'll get a call at 9pm tomorrow night saying, "So, you're going to be at the airport at 3am to pick us up, right?"
