I like how they give you the good news first, and then slip in the knife jabs at the end.
Way to be lovely bastards about it )

Why can't evolution be considered a miracle in its own right?

It's a Sin

I've managed upon a food website, with a Pumpkin Winter Warmers listing.

Pumpkin and peanut curry - it sounds strange indeed, but I'm oddly curious
Gratin of winter squash - oh, damn, that looks good

And it's not even winter here - but I bet my Aussie friends could use some of these recipes right about now.

It didn't seem to matter that I just finished off lobster ravioli leftovers. I'm still drooling at these recipes.

I need to marry a chef; do you happen to have a spare cute chef handy?

We have more kittens!

Recap:

Tom has Sabrina, who is sequestered in Tom and Jeanne's room
K&E have Nyx and Amber, which were adopted after random encounters
Debra has Austin and Spooky, with Spooky still hiding under the desk and Austin wandering around
Outside, we have a momma cat and her brood of 4 kittens hanging out under and inside the shed

In the garage we have two three kittens rescued from our across the street neighbor. He had a "friend" tie them up to a post of his carport who claimed she would come back and pick them up at 3pm. No food, no water, possibly no shade depending on where they were tied up at, and absolutely COVERED in fleas. The two little ones have been given flea baths and are now sleeping peacefully in the garage, which includes an A/C window unit and a fan. The third skittish cat is cowering in the corner of the garage, so at least it's not stranded outside in the full heat. Given how badly covered in fleas these precious things are, it will take the might of God to keep Eileen and Debra from pummeling this lady (and yes, I'm being nice and not calling her something else) if she comes back to claim the kitties.

Eileen claims that every time she thinks about getting a dog, a kitten show up. She's wrong. Every time she thinks of getting a dog we get 2-4 cats. They come in droves.
