I hate aching
Jun. 8th, 2007 09:30 pmAt some point today I almost wanted to cry. I was stuck at work running 100 degree fever while the ass exec played footsy with that damned hip-hop radio station again. All the while I'm at the front desk helping customers and trying to hear them over the kids and staff making so much noise in the lobby and me just wanting to curl up into a ball.
Here's the best part. My doctor re-newed my valium prescription for my TMJ (which has been horribly aggravated by this sinus infection), gave me a bottle of antibiotics and another bottle of a decongestant. The prescription strength Robitussin DM causes the reverse reaction on me than Benadryl does. While Benadryl knocks me out in 30 minutes, the DM causes servere hyperactivity. The doctor prescribed Liquibid D instead of Robitussin, but we decided it would be best for me to wait until morning to take it just in case I have the same reaction to it as I do to the Robitussin. I managed to accidentally not pay attention to what pills I was taking during my fever-induced stupor at work. I took two Liquibids instead of two of the antibiotics. I didn't realize my folly until after getting home and also taking some ibuprofen and one valium for the fever and aches. If I have a heart attack this evening, you'll know why.
