Exactly what would it take for a human to convince you that s/he is a computer?

(no subject)

In person? Bad sex. Bad sex is the realm of poor AI and subhumans, and anyone who does it poorly is therefore a soulless automaton in any sense. Sure, sure, you can look for plugs, circuit board innards, an incredibly skilled performance of The Robot, or urges to wear leather and shades and kill Sarah Conner, but it can all be faked.

Over the computer? Not sure. Inability to recognize or run with any subject, unnaturally fast construction of long sentences (in a chat room), an apparent grasp of the language, yet no conversation skill (question/response/question, etc). Modern AI attempts seem to wander a bit, or suddenly change subjects or say random things when they've run out of responses on a given subject or keyword.

So basically the human would have to be drunk or stoned or otherwise impaired. Perhaps with a text-to-speech program to help keep the spelling correct. Maybe a pair of humans or a team could pull it off.
