Well, I had a professional get me to platinum blonde back in October, which was hella pricey considering she had to do a lot of banding correction.
But for this go round, it was semi-pro, as I prefer to go to a school for hairdressers, so it was done by a high-level student about ready to graduate.
I originally wanted pastel shades, like cotton candy colors, but the purple turned out dark to begin with and the light pink didn't quite take, coming out a weird mix of light pink and buttery yellow blonde. Those didn't go well together and otherwise looked orange. We think it was because we were trying to bleach my roots, tone them, and then dye them all in one session instead of letting them have a moment to catch their breath after toning. So I went back two days later to have a darker pink (to match the darker purple) put on, and it turned out nicely.
