Lego Mindstorm NXT
I once purchased a B.I.O. Bug, played with it for maybe 2 hours, put it back in the box and took it back for a refund. I was horribly disappointed. I think the author of the article has been in my shoes as he specifically describes such an occurence. At least even if I get tired of the programming aspect (which I doubt) I would still have a Lego set to continually play with.
