Apparently I don't dream about sex. I dream about virtual reality first-person horror games.

Quick background. I installed a new video driver, the better to play Call of Cthulhu, or at least in my case, required to play Cthulhu. The past couple of weeks has seen me play Silent Hill 4,3,2, Scratches (boring as hell though it was), and now Cthulhu. Needless to say, I have a lot of first-person horror on the brain right now, and I'm loving it.

In my dream, I managed to go through two really big scenes checking out rooms and such before waking up. That was amazing unto itself. There was a girl who pointed me in the right direction, giving me hints about what to look for. An almost 7-ft tall guy, who was also some sort of monster, but you couldn't tell visually because he looked like a gruff mid-30's human, was following me around trying to catch me. Sometimes the girl would step in, giving me extra time to roam, by flirtatiously grabbing his arm and walking with him through some rooms that were in the opposite direction from the area I was in. She even looked back at me while talking with him to sort of indicate the "coast is clear" signal. He was a bit slow though. I could hide behind the door if I saw him coming into a room, wait until he was about two feet in and sneak behind him out the room. He might even notice me but would still stop a few seconds to see if he could figure out what I was looking for in that room. Thus, I would move on to the next room and hope I could beat him again.

The best part about this was the virtual part of it. I wasn't playing a character, and I wasn't using a keyboard or console hand gadget thingy (you can see my technicalesse showing through, can't you). It felt just like any dream. I could actually move around with my own two feet and my hands could feel the touch of the drawers as I opened them. I heard in my mind that little voice that says "nothing of importance here" or "oh, wait, what's this?" I must say, I have very good virtual touch graphics in my personal dream game. Unfortutely I woke up before finding the last black powder that I needed to finish a spell puzzle that would take me to the next scene. I picked up lots of other items, and the guy kept getting closer and closer. It was a good dream game.

I also dreamt up an icon that I would need some sort of rendering program to create, since I can't draw worth a damn and I saw it in full metallic shine and 3-D rendering.
