Yeah, that would be really good money here, but you see the apartment I had before (that you stayed in) was only $550/month for two bedrooms. smokedamage tells me that my parents' house would probably go for $500k there, but it's been appraised at around $130k. Housing costs here are much, much less that in Sydney.
Technically, we're probably making about the same amount when you take into account the cost of living and how we each describe spending ability after room and board have been paid.
