Follow-Up Went Well

Doc says everything looks good. He said it was a good decision as there was quite a lot of cellular dysplasia, but still clear of any cancer on the biopsy. Instead of the usual 4 weeks later, I get 3 months before my repeat pap.
I can start back up my elliptical workouts. Still no sex for many more weeks, which is still not a problem. And as long as I'm not bleeding out, I can go swimming!
THE COULD-HAVE-BEEN-BAD NEWS:
I started my period last week on Thurs/Fri. I also participated a little more in Sunday's class than I probably should have. Between the two, I was still heavily bleeding come Wednesday. I'm used to my periods only lasting 3-4 days due to regulation from my birth control pills. I'm also used to using tampons more often than not, which absorb the bulk of things, so there's less for me to see. At first I thought that maybe I was just seeing more bleeding because I'm not used to using only panty liners (it's been a good decade since I've used what I now call granny pads). After 5 days straight of full-on heavy bleeding, and two days back on the regular pills versus the placebos, I was beginning to get concerned. Knowing that I already had my follow-up appointment scheduled for today, I still called the nurse yesterday to discuss it. She suggested going ahead and using a tampon for ~2 hours and then seeing if that helps. Sure enough, everything stopped instantly. Absolutely nothing yesterday afternoon, evening or during the night. Yay. We figured either the period or the movements or both must have caused a scab to pull off. The tampon worked to get the bleeding stopped.
