Latest pap smear came back, and doc wants to meet with me about it. Scheduled the appointment for next Friday.

I've been treated for pre-cancerous cells (confirmed once by a colposcopy bioospy) twice now using a topical 5-FU. Both times the treatments worked, killing off any abnormal cells and resulting in clear 6-mo paps for at least two years after the treatments. The treatments were far from cheap even with my much better insurance at the time. My doctor opted for this treatment because of a high success rate (which it was successful both times) and to keep from having to go through more invasive procedures that could hinder the bearing of children.

Read: My OB/GYN was hoping I'd have made babies by now.

At this point, I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a cone biopsy, which was the procedure my doctor was attempting to avoid in the past.

Here we go again.

Oh, and the good news is that the battery of STD tests I had them do came back all negative. Not that I was expecting otherwise, but it's still something good about it all.
