I never thought about it quite like that before, or even thought about the concept of victim mentality. But reading this I can say I realize I spent most of my life thinking it was the World at large that was wronging me and I'd done nothing to deserve it.
I've shifted somewhat with age to mostly blaming myself, but there's still a lot of "it just isn't fair" in my brain.
