Warning
Every day for the past couple of months I have yet to NOT see some form of weather warning when I go to check the daily weather at weather.com.
WARNING:
Freeze warning
Fire warning
Freezing rain
Sleet warning
Tornado warning (in the middle of winter, as you do)
Freezing fog (this one still gets me)
High pollen content (because the plants think it's spring already)
Fiery Ball of UFO falling from the sky warning
Now, normally I would say, "What the fuck? Why desensitize the population with your warning the way our national government had done for the past decade?"
The funny thing is, I don't blame The Weather Channel. I am constantly reminded that I became numb to these warnings when I was 1 year old. In this area of Texas, we are constantly bombarded with warnings for the weather. This is actually the normal state of affairs for these parts.
Warning: That guy you just cut off with your vehicle may be carrying $20 worth of ammunition as insurance.
This reminds me that I haven't heard of a road rage gun battle since at least 9/11. Snipers in other states, yes. But no word on Texas shoot 'em ups.
