Jul. 21st, 2016 08:39 pmIt's time to deal with my elliptical making lots of noises that it shouldn't be making when it should otherwise be a mostly silent magnet disk design (and it was silent when I first got it a couple years back). Like most all machines, it requires maintenance, and I've been a piss-poor owner in that respect. I have no problem keeping dust off of it, but I've been neglecting getting into its guts.
The thing is, the elliptical is ensconced in the corner of my room surrounded by EVERYTHING ELSE.
It's possible that I might be able to remove a couple panels without having to surgically remove the whole elliptical out from it's comfort zone, so fingers crossed that's all I'll need to do.
I need to get some bearing lubricant and belt conditioner, check all the joints, and hopefully get back to having a silent machine, because right now I feel almost embarrassed doing my workouts with all the clattering it's making.
