I want my security binkie back.
Nov. 27th, 2013 11:59 pmI just spent another $1k on my car. The universe has decided to conspire against me since I decided to pay the car note off a year ahead of time. I mean, I know the repairs have nothing to do with paying off the car note, but the interest on the car note was about 1/4 the interest on my credit card, and I've now spent MORE money on repairs than I spent paying off the car. I would have been better off not paying off the car and instead keeping my savings around for a freezing cold, rainy day, like today and a couple months ago.
There's a round growth "thing" on the palm of my hand. It's hard and hurts, and it feels a lot like a bone spur, but it seems to have come into existence too fast for that. Doing random searching, it might be a really hard ganglion or cyst, if I'm lucky. Either way, if it doesn't go away or gets any worse in the next week, then it looks like I'll also be shelling out more money in medical bills.
I'm still undecided about whether or not the gel pad on my bed is helping my back any. So far it's been kind of neutral - not making the back issues cease, but not making them any worse, which is a good thing. I'm still getting used to sleeping on it. It makes adjusting my body slightly more difficult than I'm used to. At least I'm happy I decided to shell out a little extra for a heated microplush blanket when I bought the new mattress pad. Oh MY if that things isn't the shit, especially since we don't currently have central heat and I have to re-heat up my room every evening before going to bed. The room can be pretty crisp but I'm still warm and cozy in bed.
Still not putting away any money for a house yet. *sigh*
