I happened to see this on one of the TVs at a McDonald's the other day.

I have plans to pay off my car loan today. Yippee!

(EDIT: It is done. Woot!)

Hopefully no emergencies will come up for the next couple of months, because my savings is going to be pretty wiped for a while.

The mortgage officer I was working with last year had a reminder set in his calender to check in with me today. I got the email from him this morning shortly after I'd already checked on the savings and loan. The timing of things I planned out last year is pretty spot on. I told him to try me back again in the spring, say April. Hopefully by then I'll have enough savings to really look at houses again.

I'm still pretty tepid about it. While I so very much want a house of my own, I never pictured this being a single-person endeavor. :/

In random news:
A guy was just here working on adding a card to one of our phones at work so we can have a cordless phone working with our system. I kept seeing him fumble with the screws, and I was half tempted to push him out of the way and let me do it. Meh. We're paying him for the install, so I let him be.

Why didn't someone warn me that the movie Finding Neverland is a tear-jerker from hell?

I watched it this evening because I was hoping for a happy, feel good movie. Yeah, it's got happy and feel good, and then it landed me in a fit of tears.

Bugger.
