Bowling Night
Apr. 17th, 2013 07:16 amWe ended up going bowling last night instead of tonight. It was fun. My back didn't even twinge, which I was hoping would be the case as I have pretty good bowling posture, although the rest of my body muscles were confused by the sudden use. I was surprised at how much I really miss bowling. The lanes had just been oiled, it was hot and muggy in the packed building, and I was hungry and very thirsty, so we only played two quick games and were done within an hour.
We went to eat afterwards and talked a lot. We have a lot of similar interests in general. We both seemed to have a good time and enjoyed each others' company. It was nice and casual. He's already talking about taking me horse back riding, which I imagine will be much worse on my back than bowling, so while I'm also looking forward to that, I'm again apprehensive about it.
We talked some about our school, work, and dating histories. He was in the marine corps as a cook, which I found particularly interesting. He's a TCU boy with aspirations of owning a house with enough land to keep his horse with him instead of stabled elsewhere. Like me, he's never married and doesn't have any kids. In all, I had a good time, and I'm hoping to hang out with him more.
