My doctor scheduled a MRI for my lower back for tomorrow morning, and follow-up consult with an orthopedic spine specialist is scheduled for Thursday.

She's aware of the chiropractor, but, as my new insurance started effective Friday, I have to rely on her referrals and she really wants a specialist involved at this point. So, I'm pitting my chiropractor against a new orthopedist. This will be interesting.

Saving for a house? Yeah, that's probably going to have to be put on hold. Aside from of course feeling lots of ongoing pain, I'm more annoyed that I'm having to shell out money for said pain than anything else.

It occurred to me that the question, "What is the meaning of life?" is a circular logical fallacy, also known as begging the question. It makes the base assumption that there is a meaning of life to begin with, and then asks the respondent to prove what that meaning is.

The same is true of the koan, "What is the sound of one hand clapping?"

I think I'm a bit bored.
