Give me what I want, and I'll go away
Dec. 4th, 2012 11:37 amI called my doctor's on Friday to see about coming in for my sinus infection. They approved sending over a Z-Pak to my pharmacy sight unseen (they have my records and know this usually happens to me about once a year - they can take me on my word at this point). I went to pick it up during my lunch time, but the pharmacy didn't have any record of it, and the doctor's office had already closed for the weekend. I didn't consider it an emergency enough to warrant paging their on-call person, so I waited until Monday.
Now, there are three people in my household with the flu, so getting the Z-Pak would not only help my own sinus infection, but help stave off getting the flu from anyone else, so I was really hoping to get that prescription as soon as possible.
Yesterday, the doctor's building was out of power for a couple of hours, but I was finally able to reach them that afternoon. The person I spoke to was the same one that supposedly sent over the prescription on Friday, but she was having trouble getting her computer logged in to verify anything. She said she would call me back, and I was too busy at work to remember to follow up with her.
I called them today. Another person answered the phone, told me the head nurse person would check on it, and she'll give me a call back. I think my nose is at least pretending to dry up nicely, but that could be the Sudafed I'm hyped up on again, still. Either way, with our house running rampant with bugs everywhere, I really want to get this medication already, if for no other reason than to help keep from getting anything worse. I have plans this weekend, and I'd really like to get to them this time. I've been too dead the past two weekends to be productive at all.
