The kitchen is basically a biological* machine that easily strains, reprocesses and reuses almost everything that is believed to be waste.

Eventually, it gets smart like V.I.K.I. and realizes that humans are also believed to be waste.

*I just had to fix the grammatical error in that sentence. It was annoying the crap out of me. (Ba-dum-dum-dum)

Eileen has been posting b-day cakes for folks, and it inspired me to go on a curious search for steampunk cakes. I found a few I really like, so I'll just link them instead of inserting full picture images.

The Aubin Trophy would make an excellent cake reproduction - Up close look at the locks and keys, and Charles Aubin's and the trophy's history

I stumbled upon this image, and now I want a full blown poster of it for my wall. Additional link for reference to the artist.

xkcd cake!

This cake has inspired me to go on a Giger cake hunt, which I am sorely resisting right about now.

Okay, I couldn't resist, but the Giger cake search was disappointing. On the other hand, I found Giger-inspired purses that makes me think a Giger-inspired messenger bag would be pretty nifty to have.
