All The World's A Handbasket

This quote could easily describe the interactions of the characters I just read in The Handmaid's Tale.

Instead, this quote comes from the book I'm reading about autistic and Asperger's people learning to interact with "normal" society.

The juxtaposition of the two views in my mind is killing me.

While the review for the Linear Algebra section for my Machine Learning class was optional, the review questions that went along with it don't appear to have been optional, but I'm really not sure on this.

I got penalized 19% for turning it in a day late, even though I still got 100% correct on it, and I did the review for the hell of it to get it off of my In Progress list and into the Completed list.

I know they drop the two lowest scores by the end of the class, but that's going to annoy me if an optional section counts as one of my lowest scores.
