Tao Adjustments
Jun. 20th, 2011 11:24 amIt's interesting finding other versions and translations of the Tao Te Ching.
For instance, a line in Chapter 8 of my little book says:
In dwelling, live close to the ground.
I didn't exactly like this line, nor could I get the point of it. Then I found this interpretation which makes MUCH more sense in the context of the Tao in general:
For a house, the good thing is level ground.
Reference
Different interpretation, COMPLETELY different meaning, and much more in tune with the concepts of balance and grounding as presented elsewhere in the Tao Te Ching.
