Soon I'll have pictures to post of the work, but not just yet. I'm in the process of redesigning our bar area. Right now it's just a counter with an overhead cabinet that wants to pull itself off the wall. I decided to start designing a wine and alcohol rack for the space in between the two.
This weekend I finally got off my duff and worked more on the dimensions and pricing for the wood. Today I picked up the wood, and this evening I decided to start working on the finalized design work. I started running into some snags when taking exact dimensions into account. However, I'm still pretty sure that I'll be able to pull it off with the materials that I already have.
I forgot to buy a sealant for the wood (nude red oak). I probably won't stain it, as it has a pretty nice light red coloring, and if I can get the right sealant that should darken it just slightly enough to my liking.
