Yay, Birthday!
Jun. 10th, 2010 10:51 pmK&E sponsored early birthday gifts that I was allowed to pick out at the A-Kon Madness Games area. Eileen discovered they are local from Plano, so maybe in a few months we'll drag ass out there to hang out, have a picnic, and buy the Arkham missing link.
In a couple of weeks, a few of us shall descend upon The Melting Pot for my planned b-day dinner. I know I could have planned a stay-at-home fondue party with friends and such, but I tend to run around coordinating everything and working my ass off during those events. Quite frankly I just want to be able to relax and have someone else do all the prep work (and be able to get really drunk). If I can convince a co-worker to join us, introducing fresh meat to the fondue experience will be a double treat for me!
Now I must remember to fill out the time-off request for my birthday and get my boss to agree to it. It would be even more wonderful if I could get the week off, but we'll have to see.
