We gotta get one of these for the house. From the description that two cells could power a typical US house, we may need 4-10 cells for our house alone.

I was randomly thinking this morning that the one thing that I would have the hardest time adjusting to would be loosing my eyesight. Everything I do right now requires my eyes. I really can't imagine being blind and of course my heart goes out to anyone who is. It's not that life would end because one is blind, but my life as it is right now would definitely cease to be. So here is a list of activities that would either stop or have to be altered quite drastically (*) for me to continue participating in them.

Tennis
Bowling*
Bike riding
Driving
Movie and tv watching*
Computer and console games
Board and card games*
Crossword, Sudoku, and Kakuro games*
Paying bills*
Finding a cat to pet*
Internet surfing (including reading LJ)*
Work as an office manager

I'm guessing that for once I would literally throw myself into my AI programming and research. Without all of those extra-curricular activities distracting me all the time, I'd look into purchasing a braille e-reader and figuring out ways to type up programming code and get it easily and quickly displayed on the reader. They really need to consider getting an upgraded form of this e-reader device that allows a full web page of data to be displayed. Then, a blind person could easily have a braille tablet PC. Some people are getting close to the concept, and I for one would start feeding them money to hurry up and fully develop such products.
