I really, really, really need to get back into the semi-regular habit of going to estate sales and garage sales and antique stores. Not that I have anywhere to put anything new I might buy, but oh how I miss the hunt.

EDIT - Damnit! My brain did it to me and if you're reading this lj then I'm pretty sure your brain will do it to you as well. ... So to get away from the gutter brain, that title is a play on homesick and, and...stop laughing...seriously....you people are sick!

Some of these designs are actually quite nice. Watch the price tags, as links range from cheap $20 to prohibitive $500+.

Bizrate Gladiator Sandals

Oh yeah - and my favorites so far.

Note to shoe makers - Fuck Cheap Patent Leather. (corrected stupid link)

So THAT'S what a warlock looks like.

...

I can't keep a straight face for that one.
EDIT: I swear the mannequin(?) should be wearing tennis shoes.

I hope anyone and everyone who lives in the path of Ike or who has friends/family there stay safe. I say this truthfully as both people I work with and good friends fall into this broad category.

That being said - we drank Hurricanes and Bahama Mamas while watching stupid reporters cover George. I think the number of drinks should be doubled for Ike. The more drunk we get the more clothing and monetary donations we will make for any follow-up relief efforts that may be necessary. After all, if it's good enough scripture for the casinos to follow, by George (or should that be by Ike?), it's good enough for those of us who are fortunate enough to be out of harm's way.

We also have a pull-out couch in case anyone needs to crash, and I'm not talking about you drunk buzzards here; I'm referring to those who have had to leave house and home.
