Brain Freeze
Dec. 5th, 2007 11:39 amI had to think carefully to when I first heard the name Nick Bostrom. I came across it while perusing Kurzweil's AI webpage (AI=Accelerating Intelligence in this case). Reading an article by Bostrom was just random, except that I knew his name from somewhere and just couldn't place it.
I finally remembered. (Go me!)
Years ago I came across his web page by accident and was amazed and intrigued. The funny thing is that if I remember correctly (stipulated because I may be confusing his page with someone else's, but I don't think I am) I came across it while looking for free online games. I found a page that some guy had made with a few basic games, include a logic color guessing game (just like Fathom here) which I bookmarked and played often. After a while I read more about other things he was doing, and viola, I was reading Nick Bostom's home page. I promised myself that one day I would go back and read some of his writings. Damn, he's added a lot more writings since then.
