Game To Play
Sep. 2nd, 2007 07:40 pmPsychonauts is American McGee's Alice meets Sanitarium involving kid characters that I am horribly reluctant to compare to the pre-school Rugrats crew, but luckily that oversight on the part of the creators easy to overlook.
The game first got my attention because of the maze-like obstacle courses that you have to traverse to obtain items that you need. Then, I made it to the first brain-dive and realized that this game probably stole a lot of ideas from Alice, but it still works regardless.
I played through the PC demo version of the game and had to re-map some keys to my liking on the keyboard. One downfall is the inability to change the right and left camera looking as they are ass-backwards from most other games. Luckly, most of the game isn't time-sentitive or I'd have a serious problem with those controls. All of the other controls mapped out nicely once I messed around with them.
I really enjoyed the demo, although not sure if I'd spend money on the full game, but it would be fun to play if I did.
